Just to notify you all bug seekers out there not to file bugs against Lancelot in the Beta 1 of KDE 4.2 because most of them were fixed since the Beta 1 was tagged. If filing a new bug, please test whether it exists in the trunk.
Forgive me, but what is the sense of a beta release if not reporting bugs against it?
And how we’ll know that when beta2 is released, the bugs on it will also be “posibibily fixed already”?

@Iuri Fiedoruk: Please don’t be nitpicky, this is an exceptional situation since I wasn’t able to fix most known issues before Beta 1. At the time of Beta 1 tagging, the features existed, but most of them were unfinished and behaved in a completely unexpected manner, so to speak. (or, to be plain, the list views were screwed)
I wouldn’t blog about it if I didn’t consider it an extraordinary request.
But, although it is a very strange request, filing bugs is something that is intended to help the developers. In this case it would do me more damaging (having to respond to all ex-bugs) than helpful.
Yes, yes, yes.
But as you’ve said, it is very strange, and you can loose a lot of real bug reports – that are not fixed. My suggestion is to avoid getting too much out of the official KDE schedule, because it is very useful to have bug reports and to let users test your product the right way (using cycles).
If you do not want bugs from suers testing beta1, remove lancelot from this release and only ship in beta2
Reguards.
