KDE 4.3 RC + Lancelot themes… a bad combo

Just as a note, since Air is now the default theme for Plasma (and what’s worse, it is even called “default” instead of “air”), you’ll see that the Lancelot themes in 4.3 RC are screwed up. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to fix this before 4.3 RC tagging today (I was too late to discover the issue in the first place).

It is fixed both in the trunk and in the 4.3 branch, but, as I said, not on the time. So, just that you know, it is already fixed and all will be well in final 4.3.

  1. That a pitty but not your fault. Thanks that you fixed it. Anyway, I wanted to install 4.3 RC on my Opensuse machine with a working lancelot. So, do you have a little patch for me, which I can apply after the in installation in order to fix that issue for me?

  2. @BurkeOne: You have the themes in the subversion repository (http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdeplasma-addons/applets/lancelot/app/themes/). Get the files for the theme you use, and put them into /path-of-the-theme-you-use/lancelot/

So, for example, if the theme you use is Silicon, copy all the files from trunk/KDE/kdeplasma-addons/applets/lancelot/app/themes/Silicon/ to /usr/share/apps/desktopthemes/Silicon/lancelot/ (or wherever opensuse keeps the theme files)

    Cheerio!

  3. Hi

I have tried Lancelot and when i add it to KDE desktop all is fine (I see a cursor in lancelot). After relogin in KDE I don’t see my cursor in lancelot. All other KDE stuff is fine.

Why is the cursor not shown?

  4. @Manux: Cursor? You mean that the mouse cursor is not shown when you hover Lancelot or what? If it is the former, then there is probably something wrong with your installation…
